Tale: Cinderella

AHORA USEMOS EL "Inglés"!

a) Read these paragraphs from the tale in class. Tick the yellow words. ¿Lo puedes entender?

Ever since her father married again. Cinderella had to put up with her two stepsisters who used to tease her and laugh at her in the face. “Cinderella, bow like a princess” one of her stepsisters said. “Princess, the cinders don´t match the colour of your dress”, the other mockingly added.



Cinderella didn´t even have a nice dress. Her wicked stepmother had made her a servant, had to live in the kitchen and the fireplace´s cinders made her clothes dirty; this is why they called her cinderella. Her stepmother warned her, “You won´t go to the prince´s ball unless you finish
picking up the lentils from the floor”. And Cinderella sobbed a lot. Luckily, the sweet fairy appeared to help her.



“Of course, you shall go to the ball. Come and see”
